Summer 2024

The Adult Dragon Boat program is a fun, highly social recreational program for both new and experienced paddlers over 18 years. The program offers a unique way to stay in shape, and a great social atmosphere to meet new people, all while enjoying the great outdoors on the beautiful Ottawa River. Once or twice a week, you’ll go out with your dragon boat crew and a coach, and paddle up and down the River doing drills and honing your skills. (There are also local dragon boat racing competitions if there is enough group interest).

These programs are facilitated by highly-qualified instructors who provide a supportive and fun learning environment.

No previous paddling experience is required, but all adult paddlers must attest that they are competent swimmers.

*Make-up sessions due to stat holidays/weather cancellations will be held on Friday evening of the same week.

Dates: From July 2 to August 23
Sessions:

Recreational(18 yrs+) – Tuesdays 7:15 to 8:15 PM, 8 total sessions
Seniors(55 yrs+) – Wednesdays 6:00 to 7:00 PM, 8 total sessions
Competitive(18 yrs+) – Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00 to 7:00 PM, 16 total sessions

Registration Fees:
Once/week Summer Sessions: $168
Twice/week Summer Sessions: $263

Dragon Boat Teams – 22 participants

We provide the boat, a qualified coach, and a steersperson.
